Mallory Pools Policy For Service and Repairs

Opening of Pool/Spa
Mallory Pools will remove winterizing parts, install ladders and handrails, install pool fittings and drain plugs, open pool plumbing lines, and put pool equipment into operation.  Service technicians will start pool heater (to test run) and turn it off before leaving the customer’s property.  Mallory Pools will remove the winter cover, test water on site, and add opening chemicals (chemicals billed separately).
If pool equipment has malfunctioned during the opening process the service technician will repair equipment at the opening hourly rate and the parts will be itemized on the invoice(s) that were used for repair. During the opening, if parts break while the service technician is opening the pool, it will be the home owner’s responsibility to pay for the parts and labor for the repair. If a part breaks while still under manufacture warranty, Mallory Pools will process it for warranty.
Vacuuming the pool/spa at the opening is not included.  Customers may ask the office to add the vacuuming service to the opening for additional charge. The service technician or service manager will determine if the pool can be vacuumed on the day of the opening.
Cancellations must be made via fax, written document, or emailed to Service@MalloryPools.com.  Cancellations must be completed prior to the date of service.  If a cancellation is not made, a service call charge will apply for holding the time slot.

*Mallory Pools recommends that the home owner remove all debris and water from the top of the pool covers before the opening. Pumping off water from the cover causes the pool opening to take longer, and the weight of the water has displaced water from inside the pool. Mallory Pools is not responsible for any leaves or debris that fall into the pool while pulling off the pool cover. Mallory Pools recommends the home owner begin testing and balancing the water 12 hours after the pool has been opened.

Closing Pool/Spa
Mallory Pools will install winterizing parts, remove ladders and handrails, remove pool fittings and drain plugs, close pool plumbing lines, remove pool equipment in operation. They will install winter cover and add winterizing chemicals (chemicals billed separately).
If pool equipment has malfunctioned during the closing process the service technician will repair equipment at the closing hourly rate and the parts will be itemized on the invoice(s) that were used for repair. During the closing if parts break while the service technician is closing the pool, it will be the home owner’s responsibility to pay for the parts and labor for the repair. If a part breaks while under manufacture warranty, Mallory Pools will process it for warranty.
Vacuuming the pool/spa at the closing is not included.  Customers may ask the office to add the vacuuming service to the closing for additional charge. The service technician or service manager will determine if the pool can be vacuumed on the day of the closing.
Cancellations must be made via fax, written document, or email.  Cancellations must be completed prior to the date of service.  If a cancellation is not made, a service call charge will apply for holding the time slot.

* Mallory Pools recommends that the pool be cleaned/vacuumed before the day of the closing in order to ensure that the pool is free of debris.

Warranty Parts
All parts purchased through Mallory Pools will feature manufacturer’s warranties and bonus warranties (if applicable). Check with the manufacturer or Mallory Pools for details of the warranty. Most manufacturers do not include labor for the repair or replacement of their product that is covered by warranty. Part warranty will begin on the date of the installation.

* Chemical damage to the pool or pool equipment will void the warranty. Insufficient normal pool maintenance (i.e. emptying skimmer and pump baskets) will also result in a voided warranty.

Warranty Labor
Mallory Pools will offer a 30 day labor warranty, from the date of installation. This warranty will be for parts that were installed on the pool equipment. If more repairs are necessary to fix the equipment, then the labor warranty will not be effective. New pools built by Mallory Pools will have a one year labor warranty in effect from the date of show how.

Trip Charge
A trip charge will be assessed on all service calls, openings, and closings.
